Polkadot Staking for Institutions

Enterprise-grade Polkadot staking

P2P.org provides institutional Polkadot staking for custodians, exchanges, asset managers, and treasury teams. P2P.org is SOC 2 Type II attested and ISO 27001 certified, and has recorded zero slashing events since 2018. Service fees are a flat 10%. Two non-custodial configurations cover direct validator nomination and pooled nomination from just 1 DOT.

P2P.org Polkadot Staking Specs

NRR is the net reward rate after the 10% service fee. Figures reflect P2P.org's own Polkadot operations and move with network conditions.

Polkadot Staking Configurations

Two non-custodial configurations for institutional Polkadot staking. Client assets remain under client control throughout.

Direct Nomination

Nominate P2P.org validators directly from a client-controlled stash account. Proxy accounts separate staking operations from asset control, and bonded DOT never leaves the account.

Best for

  • Institutional stakers
  • Treasury teams
  • Custodians

Focus

  • Full custody control
  • Proxy separation
  • Validator selection

Nomination Pool

Join P2P.org's nomination pool from 1 DOT. The pool spreads stake across P2P.org validators automatically, with no minimum threshold and no manual nominee management required.

Best for

  • Positions below the network minimum
  • Platforms with end clients
  • Teams evaluating staking

Focus

  • No minimum threshold
  • Managed nominee set
  • Pooled architecture

Why P2P.org

How P2P.org Operates Polkadot Validators

Zero Slashing Since 2018

P2P.org has recorded zero slashing events since 2018. Polkadot applies real slashing penalties, so operator history is material to risk.

Proxy Account Separation

Staking proxies let clients nominate without exposing the stash key. Asset control and staking operations stay separate throughout.

Distributed Validator Infrastructure

P2P.org runs Polkadot validators on dedicated hardware across independent sites. Distribution removes single-site failure risk from era participation.

Custody Integrations

Fireblocks, BitGo, Copper, and Ledger integrations. Bonded DOT stays in the client's own account and is never transferred.

Era-Based Reward Reporting

Rewards accrue every era and are reported per era. Position and payout data reach the on-chain dashboard from day one.

Published Commission and Nominee Monitoring

P2P.org publishes commission terms and monitors oversubscription across its Polkadot validator set every era, so nominations stay effective.

How to Start Staking Polkadot

From first contact to live nomination, handled by our team at every stage.

1

Contact our team

Request a quote using the Contact us button. The P2P.org team confirms the right staking setup for the position size, custody arrangement, and compliance requirements.

2

Connect custody or wallet

P2P.org integrates with custody platforms including Fireblocks and Copper, or with self-custodied wallets such as Ledger. The stash account stays under client control.

3

Go live and monitor

Nomination takes effect from the next Polkadot era, which is protocol-determined and outside P2P.org's control. The on-chain dashboard is available from day one.

Polkadot is a layer-0 network whose relay chain secures a set of parachains under Nominated Proof-of-Stake. Institutions stake DOT to earn protocol rewards on treasury or client holdings while contributing to shared security, and bonded DOT stays in the client's own account throughout.

Polkadot staking bonds DOT in a stash account and nominates validators that produce and finalise relay-chain blocks. The protocol pays rewards every era, roughly 24 hours, split between validators and their nominators. P2P.org operates the validators; nomination and the bonded DOT stay with the client.

From 1 DOT through P2P.org's nomination pool. Direct nomination has no P2P.org minimum either, but the protocol only pays rewards to nominators above the network's dynamic minimum active bond, which is why smaller positions use the pool.

Yes. Bonded DOT never leaves the client's stash account, and P2P.org never holds keys or signs on the client's behalf. A staking proxy can run nominations without exposing the stash key, so asset control and staking operations stay separate.

Direct nomination bonds DOT in the client's own stash account and selects P2P.org validators explicitly, which gives full control and suits positions above the network minimum. A nomination pool aggregates many smaller positions into one account with a managed nominee set, so it accepts positions from 1 DOT with no nominee management.

Yes. Polkadot applies protocol-level slashing for equivocation and prolonged unresponsiveness, and nominators share in a penalty applied to a validator they back. P2P.org has recorded zero slashing events since 2018 and runs validators on dedicated, distributed hardware to keep it that way.

28 days. After a client unbonds, the DOT remains locked for 28 days before it can be withdrawn and transferred, and it earns no rewards during that window. The period is set by the protocol and is not affected by the validator.

A staking proxy is a separate account authorised to submit staking transactions, such as nominate or bond extra, on behalf of the stash. Institutions use it so operations staff can manage nominations while the stash key, and therefore asset control, stays in cold storage or custody.

P2P.org is SOC 2 Type II attested and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, holds Sumsub's Risk Intolerant Sentinel status and is a BSSC member. Audit reports and policies are available on request through the Trust Center.

GRR, the gross reward rate, is what the protocol pays a nominator before fees. NRR, the net reward rate, is the figure after the service fee, so it reflects what the staker actually receives. P2P.org quotes NRR, and both figures are estimated, variable and not guaranteed.

NRR is the net reward rate a Polkadot nominator receives after the service fee. P2P.org's current NRR is around 5.8% after a 10% fee. It depends on the network's inflation and the share of DOT staked, so it moves with network conditions and is not guaranteed.

Yes. The P2P.org Staking API builds bond, nominate, unbond and withdraw transactions for Polkadot alongside 35+ other proof-of-stake networks under one integration. Transactions are returned unsigned, so signing stays within the client's custody setup.

Polkadot issues new DOT on a fixed schedule set by governance, currently around 120 million DOT per year, and most of it is paid to stakers. The reward rate therefore depends on the share of total DOT that is bonded: when more DOT is staked, the same issuance is spread across more stake and each nominator's rate falls.
